Mars Awaits
To Celebrate 20 years of Inspiring, Exploring, and Learning, The Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky will be holding a contest for a full-day Challenger experience for ! This will be a multi-part contest open to all middle school students (grades6-8) in Eastern Kentucky. To find out more about how to win and what you’ll be competing for, please continue reading!
What You’re Working for:
What is a contest without a prize? For this competition, we will award our top three entrants with prizes, listed below.
1st Place:
All-Expense-Paid Challenger Mission Day for up to 60 Students, stickers of their winning patch, and $100 for STEAM supplies
2nd Place:
Stickers of their patch, and $50 for STEAM supplies
3rd Place:
Their patch made into a full-color sticker that they will receive.
How to Compete:
For this contest, we are asking for two things:
Video
Submit a short video (no longer than two minutes) telling us why you should be the first crew onboard our Mars Exploration mission.
Patch (with Explanation)
All official NASA missions also include a mission patch, so we ask that each team submit a patch following our guidelines along with a 500-word maximum explanation on how they designed it.
This contest is open to middle school students grades 6th-8th, with the inaugural mission to be flown during the 2020-2021 school year. You can find more details and full requirements at the links below.
